Commodity - Report

We read one of our favorite columnist Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in Telegraph wherein he gives bearish and bullish arguments for Commodities super cycle.
Personally, We are bullish on Gold/Crude/Agri commodities for next 12-15 months.

Srinivasa,
Unfortunately, negative. If you check weekly chart of B. Chini we have today seen gap breakdown from rising trend line started from Dec 2011. This indicates whole sugar sector may fall/consolidate for next 6-9 months. I suggest to book loss. Looks like Agri commodity boom may start only in second half of 2013.

There have been speculations of Coromandel buying Liberty Phosphates. Would you have any information regarding this ?

Paddy,
I guess we may see 1-2 quarters of correction in sugar stocks but I still expect sugar prices to go up above Rs. 40 from current 35 over next 3-4 months. Because of delay in crushing and agitation in western India production estimates for next year are now around 23-24 million tons which is on decline and could trigger rise in US Sugar prices as well. Looks like sugar cycle has turned just keep watch on stocks.

Dear Jignesh

Liberty phosphate has multiplied three times since august 12 however strong company like coromandal is not moving upward.

Will you please suggest it is time to enter in coromandal now

Priyesh,
Liberty is in to SSP Fertilizers and Coromandel is in to complex - both are NOT same.
It seems market is realizing now true potential of SSP and note I had suggested Liberty quite early just after new NBS came in to being in 2010. If you want exposure to SSP you can check Jubilant Industries which I think is still not discovered. I like Coromandel and Jubilant both but as of now holding Coromandel.
